A prank would be like a funny bumper sticker that they don’t see and drive around with for a few days, or adding some wheel weights to one of the front wheels so the steering wheel vibrates, or zip ties to the drive shaft so it makes a loud ticking sound whenever the vehicle is moving. None of these would cause any damage, or cost them any money in repairs. Putting sugar in a gas tank, not covered by any warrantees, cost hundreds/thousands to repair. Fish in the car so the car smells terrible forever, not funny, egging a car chips the paint and can ruin it if it’s left on too long. I wouldn’t call these pranks, more like vandalism?
